Menghapus Status Message di Y!M untuk Mac

First, quit Yahoo Messenger.

To delete old status messages you need to edit your yahoo messenger preferences file. To edit this file you'll need BBEdit, which you can download for free at
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/morein…

To get to this file, press ⌘-Shift-G in the finder. Enter "~/Library/Preferences/" (no quotes) into the box that pops up.

This will open up a window with a looong list of preferences files. Scroll down until you see some items that begin with com.yahoo.messenger3

There should be one generic preference file as well as an individual file for every username that you've logged in with on the computer, in the format com.yahoo.messenger3.Users.screenname.pl…

Control click on the file with the username you want to edit status messages for, then select Open With>BBedit (which should be installed by this point)

When the file opens, notice the line that reads "CustomStatusList". It's followed by all of your custom status messages, each wrapped in tags. All you have to do now is delete the messages that you no longer want in your program.

So, if you want to get rid of your message "in buffalo for the weeked", delete the line that reads "in buffalo for the weekend", and save the file.

When you relaunch yahoo messenger and log in, the status message should be gone!

Hope that helps. In any case, the ability to edit plist files is useful for a lot of applications with features that you can't seem to undo.

Also, trashing a program's preference files will restore them to their original settings, which can be useful if they've been acting strangely recently.
